U.S.N. ~ NAVY-BLU

I noticed that I’ve been wearing our NAVY-BLU and its original inspiration U.S.N. version more and more often since this Spring…

1

I started wearing with shorts….then mostly with sweatpants. I guess their shorter length (than railroad jackets) and boxy pattern fit in well to that relaxed mood.

Informations…

Here, I wrote some item descriptions for our new account…

POST Logger

This is a reproduction of an early (1910~20s) variant of vintage logger jacket used to be very popular among loggers in American Northwestern region. Those jackets could be seen in Darius Kinsey’s logging photographs took in Seattle areas back in the early 20th century. Featuring all button closures ( not snaps or combinations of buttons and snaps as on later variations ) on its distinctive fly front design and chest-only pockets. Various obscure brands ( they seems to be all defunct today ) used to make them, and this one is based on vintage Neustadter Bros. which owned famous Boss of the Road brand. This is one of a few designs which we did not add our tweaks since it posses perfect design and excellent pattern. You will feel the difference and wisdom of work wear design of a century ago, and it really shines in today’s men’s wear mix.

Melton E-Z Rider

Our take on wool melton blazer. To optimize its fabric character, it is unconstructed so that you can layer whatever your casual mood goes. Featuring our original scarf holder inside lapels which could be found on vintage luxury tailored overcoats.

E-Z Cruz 5

We have been making these open-collar shirt with various pocket layouts since our early years. Its best merit is relaxed mood and easy layering abilities over anything. This E-Z Cruz 5 has real basic vintage-styled symmetrical pleated chest pockets for “I’m not different” attitude, yet it has unmistakable Post O’Alls flavor.

Lined MENPOLINI Extra

We released MENPOLINI series more than 10 years ago and they were originally made of Poly-Cotton fabrics and easy construction in leau of our other over-constructed pants styles. “MENPOLINI” is our made-up word, as they were originally made of then – fashionably ignored poly-cotton fabric (MEN is a Japanese word for cotton) in vintage Brooklyn-Italian inspired design for relaxed mood. Today, we make them in various fabric contents and print designs or ideas, for the people who look for interesting bags in pants variety other than ever-limited traditional ideas.

Happy Holidays! (Takeshi)

Fallinter…

Just started trying this season’s new POST Logger Jacket in Navy back sateen recently…yet temperature dropped significantly last night…so I started trying that jacket in Olive Melton as well (at home) last night….and trying this morning again since outside looks chilly…Melton version would be in need soon…?

1

As I started trying, I started remembering how this wear….

2

Last time I tried was the time I was checking its pre-production sample….

3

It is so heavy-duty…upper half of the body and entire sleeves are doubled…no wonder it was originally made for those tough American Northwestern loggers….

4

Yet it wears so airy and snappy….

5

Simpler 2 pocket configuration helps of course…

6

but I believe its secret lies behind its pattern and weight distribution….

7

I really admire the guy who originally made its pattern…..100 years ago.

8

I believe “how it wear” is really depends on garment’s weight distribution…..this jacket has real unforgettably impressive airy wearing feel to it.

9

Well, it’s get warmer now…. (Takeshi)

#1271 E-Z CRUZ 5 〜

Right now, we are in in-between season…that means we sometimes go weird…say cotton flannel shirt + shorts+ sandals….

In that mood, I feel some E-Z CRUZ shirt would do the job nicely…

1

These are E-Z CRUZ 5…I remember I thought its design was really “standard” when I designed it.

2

I like these open collar (they call it camp-collar today for whatever reason) shirt a lot since teenager, I used to wear some 1950s Japanese vintage white linen open-collar shirt with these black high school uniform trousers….

3

They look like these gab shirt….but in short sleeve.

4

I still like open-collar shirt….until today….maybe tomorrow…..

On the season…

As coming back from Japan, I was thrown into a whole new season…then I realized that I had to start to prove…

1

this new Super DV works well underneath “coverall” type jackets as well as by itself as an outerwear….

2

Like this?

3

And C-POST DV supposed to work well underneath CRUZER type jackets….and by itself…

4

Well done?

5

Unlined E-Z Rider in wool melton….has to offer some good feeling in between tailored jackets and “coverall” type jackets…

6

On the way, I found out linen shirt would work as flannel shirt just this time of the year…especially with shorts!

7

This DEE’s Vest from ’15 S/S is becoming all-star player these days especially with knit shorts and sweat pants.
