Finally…

Thank god!

We made it again….show has just started.

My pressure level always goes MAX 2 weeks before the show…..meaning always last minute…..meaning unimproved bad habit…

Here, I am strongly appreciating and saying ” Thank you so much!!!” for everyone who involved! ( Takeshi )

P.S.

E-Z CRUZ

e1

We found this shirt in our factory….it is funny that neither me nor Katsu remembered this style or name….then I checked our old catalog and confirmed this shirt is from 2009 S/S season.

I think we don’t remember because we released only once and never come back since…..

e2

Left chest pocket…..is our 2nd generation CRUZER pocket( 1st generation has rounded corners ) with 2 separate rooms for pens, not 4.

As you may realize, we had some shirts with this familiar pocket before……these  are CRUZER Shirt ( pullover style w/chinstrap), C-POST and C-POST2 ( shirt-jac with square hem), so you can say this E-Z CRUZ is a direct descendent of CRUZER family in S/S mode.

e3

Right chest pocket….is a patch pocket accessible from inside….ala our LIGHTER  series and other styles.

e4

Back….is plain, no pleat or gather….with yoke.

e5

Closer look reveals that yoke is sewn from underside…for simpler look?

The name “E-Z” used to mean “NO-Felled Seam” in our literature….you know we were known for felled seams and seam-packerings, so this was a counter-move from our conventional practice.

We used to release various “E-Z~” ‘s  like…. E-Z Rider Jacket, E-Z Shirt, E-Z Master, E-Z Long Jacket…..actually some did not have felled seam, and some did….well, I guess we also meant  E-Z” for “laid-back” or “not-so-serious” sort, I guess.

So, this E-Z CRUZ has felled seams…..yet other stitches are done simple way like  other  E-Z series….no visible stitch on face of collar, so does the front ends.

Fabric selection back then was….AIRLITE ( feather weight irridescent chambray colors), multi raibow stripes, and nylon taffeta colors…..sort of subtle-meets-funk selection, I guess.

I decided to reintroduce E-Z CRUZ for 2014 S/S, since it looks good and  fresh now!  ( Takeshi )
