I enjoy wearing ARMY shirts (they actually designed this as a jacket though) these days again….I haven’t worn them for a log time though. Some years ago I started feeling I wish they are tad longer….then stopped wearing. Now, these are even great with shorts….and almost everything! That’s how all the fashion things go….
I like them (vintage) since I was in Japan….early ’80s. I used to wear a lot….until maybe late ’90s or so.
We have ARMY shirt in Post O’Alls line since our 1st season (1993)….then come and go….
I switched conventional rectangular pocket design to these “cut-corner” design in….probably mid 2000’s.
Reason for that is…I used to say it was inspired by seldom seen these vintage “G.I. modded” or “quatermaster modded” versions (you also find these details in vintage French workwear or Japanese flight suits from WWII). But, there actually was my legitimate reason behind it….I tried to modify its ever-so primitive pattern to more me-wearing-friendly one, but these “corners” were always an enigma. Yet I made it one day…. (This particular one is a sample)
I found this car with conventional striping in our parking lot….
Well…not so conventional!
